Kelsey Parker has announced the loss of her third child, a baby boy she was expecting with partner Will Lindsay.

The podcast host and widow of The Wanted’s Tom Parker shared in an Instagram post on Sunday, June 22, that her first child with Lindsay — whom the couple named Phoenix Parker-Lindsay — was “born sleeping.”

“Phoenix Parker-Lindsay, you will forever be loved 🐦‍🔥🤍🕊️,” Kelsey wrote on the platform, alongside a touching poem titled “For Phoenix, Born Sleeping, Forever Loved.”

“The world grew quiet as you arrived / So loved, so longed for, yet not alive / Our precious boy, our angel light / Born with wings, took silent flight,” the poem read. “We named you Phoenix, brave and bright / A soul of love, of warmth and light / Though we never heard you cry / You’ll live in hearts that won’t ask why.”

“No breath you drew, no eyes to see / Still, you mean everything to me / You’ll journey with us, softly near / In every sigh, in every tear,” the poem concluded.

Kelsey later posted a note on her Instagram Stories, signed by herself, Lindsay and her family.
“Before I receive an influx of lovely messages and heart-felt well wishes, I want to just say that I truly appreciate everything you are all going to say and share,” she wrote. “But with the news being so raw, I would really like to ensure that we as a family are given space and time to process this devastating and earth-shattering news.”

The loss of Phoenix comes more than three years after Tom died at age 33 in March 2022, following a diagnosis of stage four glioblastoma. The Mum’s the Word podcast host, 34, and her late husband welcomed two children together: Aurelia, 5, and Bodhi, 4.

In January, Kelsey confirmed to The Mirror that she was pregnant and expecting her first baby with Lindsay. She also told the outlet that she and her late husband Tom had wanted to grow their family before his brain cancer diagnosis.

“Tom and I always said we wanted four — but life had other plans,” she said. “So yes, this is amazing but also bittersweet. The joys of finding out I’m pregnant and moving forward with my life, while thinking, ‘My life could have been so different.’ I’ve felt every emotion under the sun.”

“I’m still getting my head around it, but I’m so excited,” she said of the pregnancy. “And I know I’m putting myself out there, telling people. I just want everyone to be as happy as I am.”

Kelsey also shared with the outlet that she had told her kids the news, revealing that Aurelia wanted the baby “to be called Parker if it’s a boy.”

Lindsay told the outlet that he had already taken to being a father, noting that he loves “having Aurelia and Bodhi in my life now.”

“We just bonded so quickly, I felt like everything just happened naturally,” he said. “I want to help as much as possible and be involved. I take Bodhi to football or to the park on the weekend, and we love that. Kelsey has two gorgeous kids, and I’m so lucky they’re both in my life. It’s all just been pretty natural fitting in — nothing has felt forced or rushed.”

Last week, Kelsey posted a Father’s Day message dedicated to her late husband, thanking him for “sending” Lindsay her way.

“He misses you,” Kelsey wrote to Tom. “He’s about to begin his own journey into fatherhood, and I know you’ll be there to guide him, right alongside his Dad. Today, we celebrate the Dads who are no longer with us, and the amazing Dads who step in and step up for those we love.”
